Guess who’s back?

We’re back on cold and frosty UK soil! Brrrrrrrr. I’m going to be back blogging real soon, but in the meantime let me update you with how many things I’ve ticked off my list from the last post.

We’ve done pizza, and fish & chips so far. Trying to keep things healthy over here 🤔

Fast internet and constant mobile data, oh how I’ve missed thee!

And finally, life on the open road!

It’s good to be back, catch up with a few friends, re-arrange the house and all the good stuff.

Now it’s back to life…back to reality!

2013 – The end of the year

20131023-101307.jpg

This year has been amazing! So many highlights. But the overriding theme has been amazing people.

I live with 7 amazing people, and have an amazing family beyond that.

I work with amazing people.

I go to church and fellowship with amazing people.

I get to interact with amazing people on social networks.

I make music with and for amazing people.

Amazing, really!

[this is a re-titled repost of a previous post but it’s more relevant now then it was then!]

Karl Nova releases “Outside My Bubble – Side B”

This is the B side of the mixtape that Karl Nova put out in December 2011, with 4 more of the tracks I produced. Karl is a big bundle of energy and we ended up recording 7 tracks in 2 sessions. I love my job!

And here is the track that I produced on side A.

Which are your favourite tracks? Don’t forget to comment and share too 🙂

Lisa Mayers now on iTunes

2006 Saw the release of my wife’s 1st EP!
2012 It’s finally on iTunes 🙂

The music industry and social networking have changed  so much in the past few years, and I’ve also made friends and contacts with many, many more people since then. So this is mostly for those who didn’t hear it the 1st time around!

And yes the full album is still on the way. When it’s ready, we’ll let you know too.

So, have a listen, and if you like it…download on iTunes.

Feels So Good / We'll Overcome (Maxi-Single) by Lisa Mayers

#2011highs

I just managed to Tweet a whole blog, so I’ve gathered them together and edited a little so they’re all in one place.

This time last year I said I wanted to meet more people face to face. Well I managed to make it happen and have some great memories too.

#2011highs spending time online and offline with my @The_CPC Cornerstone church family, Twitter family and Facebook family

#2011highs playing guitar at gigs with @Jacy_Mai, @MyM_Music @enquireband (Enquire)and @LisaMayersMusic at Jazz Cafe  (more please!)

#2011highs playing guitar for #InSurgery23 with @TripleOmusic, @F_M_Coeriel, @DrummerboySJ and the rest of the band. What an awesome night

#2011highs sowing, planting and harvesting our own vegetables. Hard work but really, really rewarding

#2011highs upgrading to the @htc Sensation and new iPod Touch (I was quite restrained on gadget purchases this year!)

#2011highs my youngest son’s 1st birthday and my eldest’s 10th! (not forgetting my 3 other children too!)

#2011highs producing tracks for @TripleOmusic, @KarlNova, @officialDBmusic (David B), @MsBlackMonaLisa (Kyra Simone), Niki Carless and more [see Discography]

#2011highs the #ukgospelpodcast series (thanks to @UKGospel and the rest of the team)

#2011highs my daughter’s recovery after severing the tip of her finger in a door hinge (she’s fine now). And my son’s recovery after scratching his cornea in a freak accident with a book!

And this was just a few things that happened in 2011, I wonder what 2012 has in store…

Freedome, by Karl Nova

A friend of mine called Karl Nova heard a few of my beats, liked them, and we ended up recording 7 tracks in a couple of days! The project is called “Outside My Bubble” and it should be out by the end of 2011…

In Karl’s own words

I chose to spell freedom wrongly on purpose because it is a play on words since dome means head. When you find the truth it frees your mind, frees you from the opinions of people, you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free……..

Let me know what you think and check out my Discography for more music

My Favourite Albums of All Time pt. 3

If this was a tweet I would say

Marvin Sapp – Grace And Mercy #thatisall

This album is amazing! Another gospel classic from 1997, I put this on recently and was singing every riff!

The vocals, the choir, the musicianship, the production, the words…awesome!

Go listen Marvin Sapp – Grace And Mercy
